These Complaints and Feedback Terms ("Terms") outline how members of the public can provide feedback or make complaints to Akeyulerre Aboriginal Corporation ("Akeyulerre", "we", "our", "us"). By submitting feedback or a complaint, you ("you", "community member", "participant") agree to these Terms.
1. Purpose
We value your feedback and take all concerns seriously. These Terms ensure that all feedback and complaints are handled respectfully, fairly, and in a culturally safe way in line with our commitment to community, Arrernte leadership, and continuous improvement.
2. Who Can Provide Feedback
These Terms apply to:
- Community members participating in Akeyulerre services or events
- Visitors to our Centre or website
- External stakeholders and partners
Note: These Terms do not apply to staff grievances, which are handled through internal HR procedures.
3. What You Can Submit
You may submit:
- Complaints – e.g. about a service, interaction, decision, or concern requiring action
- Feedback – suggestions or compliments that help us do better
- Requests for Support – if you need help making a complaint or understanding this process

Acknowledgement
We will acknowledge your complaint or feedback within
five (5) working days.
5.2
Assessment & Resolution
A manager or appropriate team member will review and respond to your concern. We aim to resolve all matters within
twenty-one (21) working days, or sooner where possible.
5.3
Cultural Safety
We honour Arrernte protocols. Complaints may be addressed through yarning, with the involvement of Elders or trusted community members when appropriate.
5.4
Privacy
Your feedback will be handled with confidentiality. Personal details will only be shared with those directly involved in resolving the matter.
5.5
Record keeping
We maintain confidential records of complaints and feedback to support continuous improvement.
